AIA Youngstown Participates in Streetscape 2024

AIA Youngstown once again participated in Streetscape Youngstown as part of the community efforts to improve public spaces within the city. Working in association with several other groups, the chapter worked to improve the connector between downtown Youngstown and Youngstown State University.

The Streetscape program uses volunteers from throughout the community to pick up debris, weed, plant flowers, and mulch the many public spaces throughout the city. The Youngstown chapter has been involved in this effort for over 15 years, working most years on the same parcel.

Firms represented at this year\’s clean-up included BSHM, GPD, HHSDR, and Phillips Sekanick Architects, inc. The event takes place annually and is scheduled for the first weekend in June.
